Course Objectives
After completing this course, the participant will be able to: 1. Explain the anatomy and basic physiology of the vestibular system. 2. Identify the key components of a vestibular evaluation. 3. Demonstrate how to perform an oculomotor exam. 4. Become familiar with different types of nystagmus. 5. Compare and contrast the key differences between peripheral and vestibular dysfunction. 6. Correctly identify and demonstrate appropriate treatment techniques for BPPV. 7. Demonstrate diagnoses specific treatment programs using the concepts of adaptation, habituation, and substitution.
