Annual Meeting Wrap-up The RIAPTA Annual Meeting was held on November 14, 2009 at New England Institute of Technology. The continuing education component included a panel discussion on APTA Speciality Certifications and PTA Proficiency. The presenters gave brief case studies or article reviews correlated to their speciality along with instructions on how to apply for certifications. Thank you to the following presenters: Patricia Wolfe (moderator), Ann Holmstedt, Ellen Sturtevant, Deidre Robinson, Wendy Fox and Marc Desilets. The panel was well received and we hope to offer it again in the near future. During the business meeting, the slate of candidates was closed with one nomination from the floor for President. The election closed on Dec. 7. The results are as follows: President – Wendy Fox Secretary – Michael Spoerri Chief Delegate – Kim Roullier Delegate – Beth Marcoux PTA Caucus Rep – Marc Desilets A very special Thank You to Laurie Miner and Melissa Nassaney for their dedication and hardwork as RIAPTA President and Secretary from 2008 – 2009.
